iPSP

Welcome to the home of iPSP, the iPhone portal for your PSP. In the last several months, iPSP has achieved over 750,000 downloads from people who want some iPhone magic - without the iPhone. iPSP is a web portal for the PSP, which means it runs inside the web browser, on top of the PSP’s existing software. This is completely legal, easy-to-do, and fun to show off to your friends!

FAQs

Below are some questions that we get asked a lot, and so we’d like you to read through these first, before you email us. Thanks!

Q.) Is this homebrew?

A.) No, this is not “homebrew”, or home-made software for the PSP. It is a Flash/HTML interface that runs in the web browser of the PSP.

Q.) Will this harm my PSP?

A.) There is no way iPSP can harm your PSP. However, as stated in the user agreement, you cannot hold us liable for anything that MAY happen.

Q.) Where can I get it?

A.) You can get it at the link below. If you see a different link to the release version - anywhere - please let us know, as it probably violates the user agreement.

Q.) What firmware do I need to run it (and, will it run on custom firmware)?

A.) You need Official firmware 2.71 or higher, and any custom firmware above 2.71 will work as well.

Got a question that’s not listed? First, try redownloading and reinstalling iPSP. Make sure you follow the instructions exactly like they say. If it’s still not working for you, get in contact with us, we can probably help!

Information

iPSP started as a summer project of FluidMarkup in 2007. It progressed to two versions and over twenty thousand users within weeks. It was featured on Gizmodo, as well as many other popular sites.

After being a so-called "cult hit" we fixed several issues, worked in some slight graphical changes, and packaged the source code with notation for use by developers in the new 1.2 version of iPSP.

If you are confused about any of the licensing information, please read through the official license in the documentation first. If you still have an issue, please contact us.
